Offprint Paris

A brief letter to announce that I’ll be in Paris on Saturday 15th November to sign my new book Hyper & Cosmic with Vetro Editions at Offprint Paris.

It really hasn’t sunk in, the fact that I am an author and designer of a book. Furthermore, the book contains artwork that I have worked on for the past few years with constant zeal. I was chatting recently to a good friend about the difficulty I have in taking pride in my achievements and in taking the time to celebrate those moments - no matter how small that celebratory moment is. In a world where we are submerged with images and words and we are encouraged to remain efficient and productive, perhaps we have lost (or just I have lost), the capacity to take a moment to celebrate what we already have?

My friend made an excellent point of how we celebrate certain events on a yearly basis. The importance of not just creating a moment to rejoice and recollect but also to regenerate and mark anew. Our chat brought to the fore the very thought of something I had had earlier on that day; that if one is to remember, best make for good things to remember.

So, with that good spirit, I have decided to mark a small occasion as the release of my book is given a window of opportunity next week in Paris. It is there that you may find me, if ever you happen to be in the city of light, sitting on a Saturday afternoon amid the crowd of art book lovers who so often congregate to peruse the visual delights of the printed matter.
